Specialty Item
Here is Cherry Bomb's final project-the specialty item.
Ever been to a store and enjoyed the music they played? Great music can really heighten the shopper's experience. It can put you in a better mood and might even make you shop more! With this in mind I created an exclusive price tag that comes with a promotional music CD included. With a purchase customers can now enjoy the soundtrack of their shopping experience!

Cherry Bomb Ads FINAL!

I really ended up not changing that much. I tried so hard on the one with the abstract models to be cleaner, after 2 weeks of trying live trace and adjusting it a gazillion times, I had a revelation...just pen tool over it. DUH! So it is much smoother than before. I played with the color a little bit more and am very happy with the result considering this was project was a fast turnaround for us!
Class Collaborative Book, Midpoint
Cherry Bomb Ads...Mid progress.

I was able to help my cousin take some pictures a couple weeks ago for her GRD project so I decided to use them in the ad. Overall, I got good feedback from the midpoint critique so there wont be that much overhauling on this one. I do need to work on the fact is super pixalated, is that even a word.... ITS THE WORST.
Ads that I like

Here are a couple ads that I found in class that I enjoyed. The one with no text is a Meth ad that I have seen on billboards, dating a while back. Although an older ad, I found it to have just as much of an impact today as it did over 5 years ago when I saw it. The AT&T ad with the hands is from a series of ads, all I love...I suggest googling it to see all of them-GORGEOUS. The adoption ad hit a fuzzy place, and I just thought that the ad truly reached out to anyone with a heart, making the ad have a strong impact, and very successful. And the post it ad...thats just hysterical.
FINAL self mailer

Well....there were many bumps in the road, but, I am very happy with the ending. The cloud is much better, and even though the Cherry Bomb logo is bottom heavy, I feel like I made it work in the upper portion. This way, when the customer has the coupon removed when the redeem it, they can keep the top portion to remember all that Cherry Bomb offers!! I really liked the font that I found, it wasn't overbearing, worked well with Eurostile, but still gave off the distressed look and complimented the explosive theme.

The Final Stationary!
Stationary Project for Midpoint Critique

The stationary project includes an envelope, letter head and business card. I liked my richter scale like textures, but I am totally struggling with the colors...we shall see what the critiques input does! Being cohesive is very important and I really am going to try and carry those richter movements over onto all 3.
What a difference!
The Brand I picked :)
For my brand project, I chose a store called Cherry Bomb. This store is located in the unique and funky neighborhood in Atlanta known as Little Five Points. Although there are a lot of independently owned boutiques that carry one –of-a-kind pieces or limited supply items, Cherry Bomb sticks out a little more than their competitor, and it’s not because of their bubble gum colored paint job on the outside. Being a unique store/boutique in L5P does make for some stiff competition, however, Cherry Bomb offers the best variety and allows buyers in all different price ranges the opportunity to shop there. Cherry Bomb offers pieces from designer Betsey Johnson to lower end non name brand items. You can find a unique male section, great sunglasses, and one of the best variety of shoes in the area. What makes Cherry Bomb unique is there variety of items they offer. You can go in there and purchase a $250.00 dress, and then buy matching $30.00 boots. I think that this is one of Cherry Bomb’s strongpoints. They don’t have a narrow demographic of shoppers either. Anyone who is looking for something trendy or something unique can pretty much find it at Cherry Bomb, and find something in their price range. Reading their reviews online, their only downside seems to be the sizes that they carry. As far as shoes and clothes go, they really don’t seem to have that much in stock for the larger sizes. Other than that, people love Cherry Bomb.
